Grace and the power to do what needs to be done

When you’re reading the bible the word grace means different things in different contexts. It refers to God’s decision to see us as righteous because of our faith in Christ alone, but it also refers to a special anointing or empowerment to do something or to be something. There is a grace to be a follower of Christ.  There are graces to help us grow as worshipers, witnesses, servants, stewards, and examples. There are graces for parenthood, marriage, and difficult seasons.

God has a limitless supply of grace.  It’s up to us to appropriate by faith the grace we need to do what needs to be done. So when you feel powerless or confused, cry out to Jesus and he will provide the specific grace you need.

Have a blessed weekend and we’ll see you on Sunday.
